Frank B. Anderson
Frank Butner Anderson was an American college football, and baseball coach as well as athletic director. He was the first football and baseball coach in the history of Oglethorpe University and the namesake of its baseball field. The field was dedicated as such on May 11, 1963. Anderson was inducted into the Oglethorpe Athletic Hall of Fame, a member of its inaugural class of 1962. He always wore his baseball uniform to practice and to games. He is known by some as the "Dean of Southern Baseball Coaches." Frank is the father of Alf Anderson.
Calle del General Ricardos
La calle del General Ricardos es una vía de la ciudad de Madrid, prolongación natural de la calle Toledo tras su cruce por el puente homónimo. Atraviesa, de norte a sur, Carabanchel, entre la glorieta del Marqués de Vadillo y la calle Eugenia de Montijo, por lo que funciona como eje vertebrador del distrito. En su origen era el camino natural que unía la ciudad de Madrid con los antiguos municipios de Carabanchel Bajo y con Carabanchel Alto tras cruzar el río Manzanares por el puente de Toledo, donde el camino se bifurcaba en dos: el que iba a Toledo y el que iba a los Carabancheles. El auge de Carabanchel desde la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII y durante el siglo XIX con la proliferación de fincas reales y de la nobleza hizo que la calle General Ricardos se concibiera como el gran eje en torno al cual estaban estas fincas. Así fue el caso de la Finca Vista Alegre, la Quinta de Santa Rita y la Finca de Puerta Bonita, entre otras.
Gerry and the Pacemakers
Gerry and the Pacemakers — британський музичний колектив у стилі біт, один з найбільш відомих представників біт-сцени 1960-х. Як і «The Beatles», походить з Ліверпуля, учасники його записувалися у Джорджа Мартіна, продюсером групи виступав Браян Епштейн. Вже перші три сингли колективу — «How Do You Do It?», «I Like It» та «You'll Never Walk Alone» — зайняли перше місце у британському сингл-чарті, протягом двадцяти років цей рекорд залишався недосяжним. Лише в середині 1980-х його вдалося повторити групі «Frankie Goes to Hollywood», яка також походить з Ліверпуля. Тому «Gerry and the Pacemakers» вважається другою найбільш успішною поп-групою з Ліверпуля. Одна з найбільш відомих пісень колективу — «Ferry Cross the Mersey» — присвячена річці Мерсі, що протікає через Ліверпуль.
