Riu Anoia

L'Anoia és un riu de Catalunya, afluent del Llobregat pel marge dret. El riu neix a l'Altiplà de la Segarra en quatre punts en els municipis de Calaf, Sant Martí Sesgueioles, Montmaneu i Argençola; quan s'ajunten les aigües al municipi de Jorba es pot parlar pròpiament de riu Anoia. A la seva llera hi ha viles com ara Igualada, Capellades, Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Gelida i, finalment, Martorell, on desemboca al riu Llobregat. L'únic embassament de la conca és el pantà de Sant Martí de Tous, un petit embassament d'1,3 hm³ a la riera de Tous, però entre 1880 i 1973 s'havia projectat la construcció de la presa de Jorba al mateix Anoia, i fins i tot va arribar a ser inclòs al pla d'Obres Públiques del 1943 i a licitar-se les obres el 1951. Si s'hagués construït, hauria estat de 4,5 hm³ de capacitat i hauria permès regar 1.270 hectàrees. El riu Anoia és un riu bastant contaminat, degut a les fàbriques tèxtils, les quals abocaben residus químics, que van estar en funcionament el segle passat.

Andranik Eskandarian

Andranik Eskandarian is a former Iranian footballer. He played as a defender for the F.C. Ararat Tehran, Taj SC and New York Cosmos of the North American Soccer League. He won the Iranian league in 1975 and reached the second place in 1974. Further he won the Hazfi Cup in 1977. He played six years for Taj SC. Taj's fans called him Barbed Wire. Eskandarian was a member of the Iranian team winning the Asia Cup 1976 in Tehran and reaching the quarterfinals of the Olympic Tournament in Montreal in 1976. He also played for Iran in the 1978 World Cup, the country's first appearance in the tournament. He infamously was the first member of Iran's team to score in the World Cup: an own-goal in a match against Scotland that his teammate later tied, 1-1. The game was still considered a success for Iran, including Eskandarian's play as a defender against Kenny Dalglish and Joe Jordan, and an embarrassment for Scotland. Soon after that, he moved to America to play for the highest-profile team in the country, the New York Cosmos, beginning in the 1979 season. After the Cosmos folded in 1984, Eskandarian played for the New York Express during its half-season in the Major Indoor Soccer League.

Бечки књижевни договор

Бечки књижевни договор је историјски споразум јужнословенских књижевника којим је ударен темељ заједничком српскохрватском језику, као и савременим књижевним језицима: бошњачком, хрватском, црногорском и српском, који су настали на његовим основама. Бечким књижевним договором је као основа за заједнички књижевни језик Јужних Словена узет народни говор Босне и Херцеговине и Дубровника, карактеристичан по штокавском наречју и ијекавском изговору. Договор је постигнут у Бечу 28. марта 1850. године између осморице јужнословенских књижевника, држављана Аустријске монархије, од којих су петорица били Хрвати, двојица Срби и један Словенац. Циљ окупљених језикословаца је био да се национални књижевни језици што је више могуће приближе, јер су сматрали да су сви јужни Словени један народ и стога треба да имају један књижевни језик: Знајући да један народ треба једну књижевност да има и по том са жалости гледајући како нам је књижевност раскомадана, не само по буквици него и по језику и правопису, састајали смо се овијех дана да се разговоримо како бисмо се, што се за сад више може, у књижевности сложили и ујединили. — Бечки књижевни договор
